About Us

About Phil Garrow and Caitlin Freeman

We are two creative and highly educated people. We moved here to Pittsburgh in the summer of 2009 to escape the economic collapse of Western Massachusetts. In the time that we have been here in Pittsburgh, we have made excellent business connections, found low cost housing, and discovered our niche within the Pittsburgh social community. We have started a business, are renovating our home, and have made good friends.

Phil Garrow has degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He currently co-owns SEO Pittsburgh, a web development company specializing in Search Engine Optimized web sites, and is a professional technical writer. He has interests in city planning, specifically in the development of bicycle routes within the city of Pittsburgh. He also has interests in fine art and photography, and is currently developing a web site to showcase his portfolio of Pittsburgh-related photography at PicPGH.com.

Caitlin Freeman has a degree in Humanities and Performing Arts from Sarah Lawrence College. She is a professor of the Alexander Technique at Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts. She also has a private practice teaching the Alexander Technique, a system of movement rehabilitation. Along with Phil, Caitlin co-owns SEO Pittsburgh, and develops Search Engine Optimization for the web sites that they design. Caitlin is pursuing her degree in Occupational Therapy to help individuals on the autism spectrum.

Together, we are autism advocates and speakers. We have given presentations about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the Children’s Institute, the McKeesport Area Schools, and Family Behavioral Resources. We also run support groups for people on the autism spectrum through the Advisory Board on Autism and Related Disorders (ABOARD). As web developers, we provide discounts to autism organizations for the development of their web sites. One of our recent projects has been the development of a Search Engine Optimized web site for ABOARD, at Autism-Support.org.
